Severe erosion and poor infiltration were causing damage to the sediment pond at I-25 and Lincoln Avenue in Lone Tree, Colorado. Pase Environmental was contracted to restore proper drainage to the pond and protect the surrounding site from future erosion.
Pase field crews installed 12,000 SF of Flexamat to create a dissipator pad as a first step to slow high-velocity runoff and redirect the flow into the pond. This measure was then complemented by the installation of 1,500 SY of turf reinforcement and 5,000 SY of coconut blankets to stabilize soil in the affected area.
In total, more than 10,000 SY of stabilization material was installed by the crews of Pase Environmental to protect the critical infrastructure at this high-traffic area and extend the life of the stormwater system.
