Site Location: Lone Tree, CO
Client: Mile Hi Flood District and Naranjo Civil Constructors
Project Type: Streambank Restoration

Summary

At Happy Canyon in Lone Tree, a severely eroded creek corridor was threatening nearby infrastructure and degrading aquatic habitat. Mile Hi Flood District and Naranjo Civil Constructors engaged Pase Environmental to restore the streambank, improve long-term channel stability, and protect the surrounding property.

To reshape and reinforce the channel, Pase installed 40,000 SY of 700-gram coir mat to stabilize soils and support vegetation. Straw wattles and silt fence were placed to control runoff and sediment migration during the establishment period. Crews also secured the system using 120,000 wedge stakes to ensure the materials remained locked in place under heavy flow.

Following the restoration, the site withstood a 100-year storm event with no loss of stabilization — affirming the long-term success of the installation.
