During construction of a new commercial RV park in Larkspur, steep slopes surrounding the site funneled stormwater toward active development areas, increasing risk of erosion and sediment movement. Pase Environmental was contracted to stabilize the slopes and protect the developing resort infrastructure.
The team installed double-net straw biodegradable blankets across 180,000 SY of hillside to shield exposed soils from rainfall and runoff. Straw wattles were added to reduce slope length and slow water velocity, giving vegetation the time needed to establish.
The result was a fully stabilized system that controlled erosion during construction and supported healthy, long-term plant growth. Today, the slopes are fully vegetated, protecting the park and surrounding environment from sedimentation and runoff.
